Answers about capture, deliverables, hosting, and project fit

SplatCap 3D is designed for clients who want a more photoreal, more compelling digital representation of a real space. These are the questions that come up most often when planning a project.

What is SplatCap 3D?

SplatCap 3D is a service for capturing real spaces and turning them into photoreal, navigable 3D experiences. It is suited to property marketing, tourism and hospitality, construction communication, industrial familiarization, branded presentations, and long-term digital preservation.

What is a Gaussian splat model?

A Gaussian splat model is a modern 3D representation that can preserve a highly realistic visual impression of a space while remaining efficient to view online. In practice, it produces a result that often feels more photographic and more natural than older digital twin styles.

How is this different from traditional scanning platforms?

The main difference is presentation quality and workflow. SplatCap 3D is built around faster capture and a more photoreal final result. For many projects, the experience feels less like a conventional scan and more like being present in the space.

What kinds of spaces can you capture?

We can capture residential interiors, commercial properties, venues, clubhouses, hospitality spaces, industrial environments, construction sites, and other real-world locations where a navigable 3D record would be useful.

How long does a capture usually take?

Smaller projects may take only a few hours on site. Larger, more complex, or multi-zone spaces can take half a day to several days depending on access, operating conditions, and the amount of coverage required.

How long does processing take after capture?

Turnaround depends on project size and deliverables. Many straightforward projects can be delivered quickly, while larger branded or multi-zone projects take longer because they involve more processing, review, and presentation work.

What do we receive at delivery?

Most projects include a hosted viewer link and a finished 3D experience ready to share. Depending on scope, delivery can also include embeds, screenshots, teaser visuals, annotations, guided views, branded presentation layers, and archive exports where required.

Can the final tour be embedded on our website?

Yes. Many projects are delivered for direct sharing by link, but web embedding is also possible when that suits the marketing or internal use case better.

Do you offer hosting?

Yes. Hosting can be kept simple for single-site projects or scaled into more advanced arrangements for branded, private, or multi-location environments.

Can you capture active construction or industrial environments?

Yes. Active environments can be captured as long as the scope, access, and safety requirements are planned properly. Scheduling can be arranged to reduce disruption and fit operational windows.

Do you provide fixed pricing?

Some projects fit well into standard pricing ranges, but final pricing depends on size, complexity, travel, access constraints, hosting requirements, and the level of presentation or branding involved. The quickest way to get a precise number is to send the basics of the site and intended use.

What information do you need for a quote?

A short description is usually enough to start: the type of space, approximate size, location, intended use, and timeline. Photos, plans, or reference material can help, but they are not always necessary for an initial estimate.

Have a specific project in mind?

Send the basic details and we will recommend the right capture and delivery approach.
